This pool deck in the Falls River neighborhood of North Raleigh functioned in a limited capacity for the homeowners. First, there was only enough room for two chairs around the firepit and second, the gravel was constantly strewn about because of the dogs. The new design employs United Stone Industry (USI) material to expand the hardscaped area surrounding the pool and firepit. Now, there is plenty of room for the family to spread out around the pool and/or relax by the firepit while continuing to provide ample space for the dogs to be dogs.
